Outdoor Rugs
Outdoor rugs seem to be the new trend to hit the market. After researching it is apparent why this idea could become popular.
These days our gardens are being used to its full potential with corner sofa sets and dining sets being used as much outdoors as indoors. Not all gardens have the ability to add colour that you would get from a fresh lawn and flower beds. Why not brighten up your patio or decking by adding an outdoor rug with bright patterns?
Not only can you make your outdoor space look more attractive but it would also provide a softer surface for children and would look great when hosting parties. With so many patterns and colours available we thought we would show you some of my favourites.
Mediterranean Citrus Bursts
A Mediterranean theme is very appealing. With lots of foliage, olive & lemon trees and a bright outdoor rug to infuse a laid back, fun atmosphere. This theme would complement a grey or natural rattan sofa set like our Calabria Collection.
Moroccan Dreams
Spicing up your garden with a touch of Morocco would be perfect for lazy chilled out days. Add lanterns and different sized coloured cushions in oranges and reds. Both these rugs from Green Decore would look great (from £29.00 each 90cm x 150cm). Large seating areas with comfortable deep filled seat cushions like our Milano Collection would be ideal to create this theme.
Simple and Elegant
If you are wanting to create more of a contemporary, tranquil setting, whites and bluey greens are very calming but the simplicity of grey or black stripes with lots of green and white foliage looks great too. Black or grey rattan would suit this style. Have a look at our Verona collection for more inspiration. Try create a cosy idyllic corner.
There are already several retailers selling outdoor rugs that are waterproof and eco-friendly such as Green Decore, Cuckooland that sell Fabhabitat rugs, made in India that are woven from recycled plastic straws and Swedish manufacturer Pappelina which sell through Cloudberry Living in the UK.
So if you feel that you are lacking some colour in your garden or you just want to brighten up your patio then an outdoor rug could be what you’re looking for.
