Black Rattan Outdoor Daybed: Siena Reading Garden Trends by Alexander Francis 3 minutes Next Outdoor Kitchen Trend

We attended the glee gardening exhibition in September to discover next year’s garden trends. Due to the ongoing trend of making more use of your outdoor space there were lots of great ideas but these were our 3 favourites.

Privacy With Style

If you are overlooked by your neighbours when relaxing in your garden or just want to cover up an eyesore ruining your outdoor space, take a look at Screen with Envy. Envy’s screens are made from our advanced wood composite which means they feel like wood but perform like plastic outdoors.

These screens are stylish yet functional and the designs available in black and cream will enhance your outdoor space. In addition, you can also use them as trellises to grow climbing plants and because they are made of advanced wood composite they do not rot or age so minimal maintenance is required. Have a look at their Instagram page for inspiration –

Creating Ambience

We are finding that gardens are being used more and more as an extension of your home. Set a relaxed ambience with outdoor lighting. There are several options that can be used including solar lighting and candles.

We like the simplicity of these solar mason jar lights we found these on Amazon. These will look great whether you hang them or use them as table lighting,. Maybe have a go at making these yourself, there are some great ideas on Pinterest.

Furthermore, string lights are great for larger areas and can be hung from fences, trees or pergolas. These weatherproof festoon lights from Garden Trading will create an ambient glow and enhance your outdoor dining experience –

This photo sent in from customers Tony & Katy of their courtyard garden shows you how to maximise your garden into a comfortable yet functional space. We love the built-in storage with worktop and outdoor oven. Also, their Verona Casual Dining Set from Alexander Francis matches their contemporary outdoor style perfectly. This is a perfect example of garden trends coming in 2018.
